Fabchem China has posted a 46.2% increase in net profit to 19.24 million yuan ($3.82 million) for the third quarter ended Dec 31, 2011 from gain on disposal of property.

Net profit was 13.17 million yuan a year ago.

Revenue for the quarter rose 9.6% to 140.15 yuan from 127.84 million yuan a year ago.

ST Marine secures $75m in contracts from Swire

ST Engineering said its marine arm, ST Marine, has secured two shipbuilding contracts worth $75 million from Swire Pacific Offshore Operations, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Swire Pacific.

Under the deal, ST Marine will next year begin to build and outfit two Anchor Handling Tug Supply (AHTS) vessels, measuring 92m x 22m.

The two AHTS will be equipped with the latest Dynamic Positioning technology and will be Special Purpose Ship 2008 compliant. They will also be designed with adequate tank capacities and clear deck space of about 650sqm.

The vessels are to be delivered in the second and third quarter of 2014.

Yoma to acquire 70% stake in Star City project for $91m

Yoma Strategic Holdings said today it plans to acquire a 70% stake in the land development rights (LDRs) of Star City Project from Yangon Land Co, a subsidiary of Serge Pun & Associates (Myanmar) Limited Group (SPA Group).

SPA Group will hold the remaining 30% stake in the project.

ComfortDelGro’s FY2011 profit up 3.1% to $236m

ComfortDelGro said it posted a 3.1% net profit for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2011, to $235.6 million from $228.5 million last year.

The land transport operator posted record turnover of $3.41 million for the year, a 6.4% increase from $3.21 million a year ago, on the back of broad-based increases in revenue from all business segments.

A final tax-exempt one-tier dividend of 3.30 cents per share has been proposed.

Together with the normal interim tax-exempt one-tier dividend of 2.70 cents paid earlier, the total dividend for 2011 will be 6.0 cents per share.
