Hannover, Germany, March 05, 2008 – GIGABYTE UNITED INC., a leading manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards held joint press conference with chipset giant Intel, announcing several latest technologies delivered from the next generation Intel 4 series chipsets, including GIGABYTE Dynamic Energy Saver (DES) motherboards.

The event kicked off with the opening speech from Henry Kao, Senior Vice President GIGABYTE UNITED Inc. “GIGABYTE is committed to providing high quality component motherboards with energy saving technologies which help reduce system power consumption, thereby reducing CO2 emissions,” Henry mentioned. “We are glad and proud to have our long term strategic partner Intel, helping us to deliver more innovative products into the market”

Following was an introduction of Intel’s new 45nm processors and 4 series chipsets from Richard Malinowski, Vice President Mobility Group, General Manager Component Clients Group. ”Intel and GIGABYTE have enjoyed an outstanding cooperation over the past 20 years, with both helping each other to introduce the latest technologies into the market”. “With the focus of our new 45nm processors and upcoming Intel 4 Series chipsets, we are able to extend our performance leadership in the market,” Richard continued. ”Intel is pleased to work with GIGABYTE to drive Innovation for the market.”

Colin Brix, Technical Marketing Manager at GIGABYTE UNITED Inc. presented a series of exclusive information on GIGABYTE Energy Saving (DES) technology that delivers up to 70% CPU power saving and 20% improved power efficiency. “With GIGABYTE Dynamic Energy Saver motherboards, we not only provide optimized performance for Intel’s 45nm processors, but also help to reduce total system power consumption,” said Colin. “GIGABYTE is glad to be able to offer our customers a full range of DES enabled motherboards, allowing them to take advantage of extensive power savings with the simple click of button.”
