“The Real World: Boston” Star Sean Duffy Running For Congress

Font size:

Here’s something you don’t see everyday. A former Real World housemate is leaving his days as an MTV reality star in the dust and making a run for Washington. Sean Duffy — who appeared on MTV’s The Real World: Boston in 1997 — is running for Congress.

Take a look at his first campaign ad:

Duffy, now 38, has raised more than $600,000 to support his primary campaign for the Republican seat representing Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District. But first he’ll need to defend opponent Dan Mielke; he hopes to do that in the September Republican primary.

Nice to know that there’s life after reality TV. Just think, we could all be gleefully rallying behind a “Snooki Puss for Senate” campaign in about a decade. (Although we’ve probably got a better chance of seeing Hell freeze over.)
