Titanic has hit an iceberg named Avatar.

James Cameron’s 3-D spectacular replaced his 1997 melodrama as the biggest international release of all-time selling over $1.8 billion worth of tickets worldwide over the weekend. Avatar is on the verge of claiming its worldwide crown, which distributor 20th Century Fox said Sunday. The sci-fi adventure topped the box office for its sixth straight weekend in a row domestically, pulling in another $36 million.
