Metropolitan Amfilohije of the Diocese of Raška and Prizren said that it is too early to leave the protection of Kosovo monasteries to local police.

Amfilohije told the Tanjug news agency that not enough time has passed since the violent mass exile of Kosovo Serbs and destruction of Orthodox sanctities in 2004, and that the monks are not prepared to invest their full confidence in local security forces.
