English actor Ray Winstone says that Mel Gibson’s break from acting has given him “the greatest education”.
While speaking on the premiere of their new thriller together titled ‘Edge Of Darkness’, Winstone said the ‘Braveheart’ star didn’t show any signs of nerves when they first started filming.
“If he was, he didn”t show it… to be honest with you I think as an actor you”re nervous when you go on set anyway, but he certainly didn”t show it,” the Mirror quoted him as saying.
“It’’s seven years, but it ain”t as though he’’s been away from the game, he’’s been directing, producing and writing.
“It’’s probably the greatest education for an actor to go and do that. The man really knows film, you can tell that.
“I think he probably felt it was time for him to come back and do something ”cause it’’s your first love. I suppose it’’s like revisiting your first girlfriend!” he added.
