According to a federal appellate court panel which was held on Friday, Anna Nicole Smith will not get any of the millions of dollars that were left by Smith’s late oil magnate husband, J. Howard Marshall.
But still the decision was made to the main beneficiary of Smith’s estate, i.e. her 3 1/2-year-old daughter whose name is Dannielynn Birkhead.
According to Kent Richland, the appellate lawyer for the model’s estate, in fact it is a sad story because a lot of people who are involved in this case have died. But still it is not considered to be the final step in this battle.
First $450 million were awarded to Smith who had been married to Howard Marshall for 14 months. But later a federal district judge reduced the amount to $88 million.
Then a Texas probate court revealed that Marshall’s son, Pierce Marshall would get all the money of his father. According to Pierce Marshall, his father was not going to give anything to Smith. In 2006 Pierce Marshall died and his wife Elaine Marshall continued the battle.
Smith estate attorney Richland is going to fight, he is not going to give up. He said that this was only an intermediate court’s ruling.
