Cant see hidden folders & files – Folder options missing

Just opened a folder, went to menu option Tools > Folder Options. Hang on, Folder options is just not there and is missing. So, with no folder options – how do I access settings to view hidden files and folder? Following setting should help get back folder options on XP computer.

Get back missing Folder options

2. Click to: User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Explorer

3. In the right side window, look for option “Removes the Folder Options menu item from the Tools menu”. Right click on it and then click properties option.

4. In new pop-up window, select Not configured or Disabled and click Apply, OK.

Check folder options, it should be back and you can use settings to view hidden files and folders on your XP computer.
