Intel has announced remarkable iSCSI performance results that were achieved using Intel® 82599 10 Gigabit Ethernet Controller-based server adapters, Intel Xeon processor 5500-series based servers, and the native iSCSI support in Windows Server 2008 R2. The 1,030,000 IOPS test result is more than double any previously announced iSCSI performance, showing that high performance networking is possible using iSCSI on 10GbE. Could iSCSI be the future of Enterprise storage networking? Learn more about these iSCSI results on the Intel server blog and view the Intel-Microsoft webcast.
