At CES, Intel unveiled 10 processors from the new 2010 Intel® Core™ processor family and three new chipsets. The products will feature 7-year lifecycle support for embedded market segments such as communications, digital signage, retail and medical. Intel has already garnered more than 200 design wins for the new chips. Intel tailored four of the processor versions to include Error Correcting Code (ECC). ECC is critical for embedded designs that require high data integrity standards such as smart retail registers.
