Country cutie Julianne Hough is no longer making beautiful music with boyfriend Chuck Wicks. The singers have reportedly split after nearly two years of dating, according to published reports.

“This was mutual,” a source told PEOPLE of the breakup. “They needed some time apart.”

Julianne, 21, met Chuck, 30, while on tour with Brad Paisley in 2008. The pair were later partnered together on the eighth season of ABC’s ballroom reality competition Dancing With The Stars, where Julianne once starred alongside brother Derek Hough as a featured series pro.

Both Chuck and Julianne are expected at the CMAs in Nashville on Wednesday night. Luckily, Julianne will have an active work schedule to keep her mind off her romance woes; the dancer is currently taking acting lessons to prepare for her role as “Ariel” opposite Chace Crawford in the movie remake Footloose, opening next summer.
