Uh-oh Disney.

Amongst all the changes at the Mickey Mouse house, with the big merger with Marvel, and the firing of longtime chairman Dick Cook, Disney is looking ahead and hoping to continue with it’s money making franchise Pirates of the Caribbean. Disney is not only trying to make a fourth installment in the franchise, but a fifth and sixth as well!!!

One problem: Johnny Depp.

The actor, who is good friends with the fired ex-chairman, has only signed on to the fourth and rumor has it, does not want to make a fifth or sixth because of the absense of Cook. Disney execs are now saying that they will go on with the franchise with or without Depp. Interesting.

Depp’s character, Captain Jack Sparrow, is the ONLY reason the franchise has had success, and we don’t think any actor can take his place, even though there are some pretty famous names flying around the coveted role (Ryan Gosling, Robert Pattinson and our fave, James Franco).

Would you watch Pirates without Johnny???
