Ludhiyana: Over the issue of snatching of wages from the labourers and after their clashes with the police the imposed curfew was today lifted in Ludhiyana today.

The labourers who were mainly from Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, while protesting against the snatch fired some vehicles in the town and also had clashed with the police.

As a result curfew was imposed into five police station. However, it has been lifted today from three police station areas of Division No 7, Sahnewal and Shimlapuri.

The two police station areas of Focal Point and Division No 6 the curfew will still remain and the security personnel would maintain a strict vigil in these areas along with Sahnewal and Shimlapuri, said The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ludhiana.
