Deputy Prime Minister Božidar Đelić expects that Serbia will receive candidate status in the second half of this year or in the first half of 2011.

Presenting work results for the last quarter of 2009 at the session of the parliament’s European Integration Committee, Đelić said that the previous period was a period of speeding up Serbia’s European integration process and pointed out, among other things, that visa-free travel to the EU was achieved.
