Automatic Windows updates is a handy feature that updates Windows operating system in background. However, some users may not like due to constant drain of precious bandwidth as a result of background downloads. Although not recommended, you can still disable and turn off automatic Window updates.
Disable automatic updates in Windows
1. Click Start and then click on Run
2. Type or paste command sysdm.cpl in run box & click OK

3. Click Automatic updates tab in system properties window
4. Click the select “Turn off Automatic Updates & click Apply.
