EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fuele will be in Belgrade meeting with Serbian senior officials on Wednesday.

“The further progress of Serbia’s European integration will be one of my priorities, taking into consideration the importance of this country for stability in the Western Balkans region. I want to confirm that the Commission is prepared to prepare its opinion on Serbia’s application for EU candidacy as soon as the demand arrives from the EU Council,” he told daily Večernje Novosti.
