Facebook has become the most popular social networking site among United States users. It became known that the site had 7.07 percent of U.S. Internet visits for the last week while Google turned to be behind Facebook with 7.03 percent.

In fact, it is not the first time when Facebook is ranked as number one online destination but it is the first time the social network got this title for the whole week. As a matter of fact, Facebook managed to beat Google on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. It is still uncertain why Facebook beat out Google during the recent March weekend, but it is expected that users want to be connected as well as share holiday experiences with friends.

But still Google is trying to make Buzz popular among users. It is the service with the help of which one can share content by means of your Gmail inbox. But still the company is experiencing some problems, it’s being criticized for its privacy controls.
As for Facebook, it continues to grow at a healthy pace and now it has over 400 million members across the world. It is becoming an integral part of the Web that ahs its own sigh-in service known as Facebook Connect.
