It is considered that the national broadband plan of the Federal Communications Commission should become beneficial for all Americans, but , in fact, not every company as well as group is going to be happy. The thing is that there will be losers as well as winners because the government is going to enhance the quality along with availability of Internet in the United States.

The major goal of the plan is to offer 100 Mbps broadband to 100 million homes, also it intends to install 1 Gbps broadband at community sites like government buildings and schools by 2020. Moreover, the internet can be available for free, or cheap wireless broadband will be provided. The main thing is to offer basic Internet nationwide for people who are unable to afford it.

As for companies such as Verizon Wireless and AT&T, the FCC is going to throw them a bone with 500 MHz of spectrum.

But still the government relies on those who are ready to give up some of their spectrum in or it could be used for broadband. One should say that members of Congress were the ones who approved a national broadband plan but now they have to decide on what to do with it.
