On Sunday, Queen of Pop Madonna was spotted on-location directing scenes from her new film W.E. in Paris on Sunday. Star Abbie Cornish was also seen on set yesterday.

Dressed all in black and sporting dark shades, a hat, and a patterned scarf, The Material Girl stepped behind the camera for the shoot in the City of Lights.

Madge, 51, made her directorial debut in 2008 with Filth and Wisdom, about a Ukrainian cross-dressing punk-rocker.

W.E. tells the story of King Edward VIII, the former monarch who abandoned the throne after falling in love with American divorcee Wallis Simpson.

The film, which stars Abbie and James D’Arcy, is slated for a 2011 release.
