Google engineers Feb. 9 launched Google Buzz, the search engine’s latest stab at social networking. The service, intended as an alternative sharing vehicle to Facebook and Twitter, lets Gmail’s 176 million users post status updates and share Picasa photos, YouTube videos and links directly in Gmail. Google Buzz is rolling out over the next few days, but you won’t have to wait that long to catch a glimpse of the capabilities, including the Google Buzz for mobile app. See the perks here in this eWEEK slide show, as well as demo videos on Google Watch here.
