If you often use Orkut and own an Android phone, then there is good news for you from Google that has revealed the launch of an Orkut widget for the phones supporting Android platform.

Orkut is a well known social network in Brazil as well as in India where Facebook also finds neglected to be at the second position. However, Facebook has done a good job to make an edge over Orkut’s dominance in India but it could not to do so in Brazil. The Orkut app flaunts with features like Live Folders and photo upload options straight from phone. The Live folders feature enables the users to scroll through the friend list even if you are not online and are not in a data connection. You can even get scrap notifications in the real time.

You can download the Orkut app from the Android Market.

The Google Buzz widget would help to post text, photos and stuff straight to the phone. You can also tag the posts. It is friendly with devices which have Android OS 1.6 installed.

To add widget, follow the simple instruction-go to Menu > Add > Widgets > Google Buzz.
