CNN rating list of “Asia’s 25 greatest actors of all time” includes Guru Dutt, Amitabh Bachchan, Pran, Nargis, and Meena Kumari.

The listing was posted on 4 March that marks the struggling poet of “Pyaasa” (1957) as the “best role” of Guru Dutt. Amitabh Bachchan’s deep voice and broodiness for Inspector Khanna in “Zanjeer” (1973) has been declared as his best role. Pran has been portrayed as “finest villain of Hindi cinema”, especially for his best role as Good Samaritan in “Upkaar” (1967). Nargis’s versatility and natural expression has also been praised with her strong-willed role of Radha in “Mother India” (1957). Meena Kumari has always been considered as he Tragedy Queen and gets appreciation for her role in “Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam” (1962).

The five actors’ inclusion in the list makes India with the highest number of entries.
