Rep. Luis Gutiérrez (D-Chicago) is taking some heat for accepting campaign contributions from payday lenders. That’s because he’s playing a leading role in efforts to regulate the loans. A statement from Gutiérrez to WBEZ this week says he’ll quit taking those donations.
