Of them, 576 were women; the researches concluded that the 30% of men and 40% men are more likely to report less sexual activity one year after a heart attack.

Dr Stacy Tessler Lindau, who conducted the study along with his team, said that there are only small chances of a heart attack patient dieing of having sex.

It is also entirely safe for heart attack survivors to have sex if they can climb a few flights of stairs and can do some light to moderate exercises.

The researchers also believe that doctors should talk more with heart attack survivors for indulging in sexual activity. It was learnt that those survivors whom the doctors asked to continue with having sex, they actually were more sexually active than others who had no suggestion.
