Not a great time to be Team Kate……
Some Christmas this is shaping up to be for Reality TV’s Queen of Mean. The newly-single Kate Gosselin’s dramatic divorce may have cost the outspoken Octomom a hosting gig on eagerly-anticipated TV talk show. Executives behind the proposed Momlogic daytime series have severed ties with the former TLC star amid fears she is too controversial for the show’s target audience, RadarOnline.com said Wednesday.
In September, Kate joined Southern culinary expert Paula Deen of the Food Network, Lee Woodruff, and former Early Show anchor Rene Syler in hosting a pilot for the daytime program — which is being tagged as “The View for working moms.”
Kate’s public image has been battered over the past year, as fans of the now-defunct Jon & Kate Plus 8 watched her scandalous split from ex-husband Jon play out on the small screen. Momlogic producers worried she wasn’t ready to handle the full-time hosting gig, an industry informant tells Radar. There’s also some chatter that Paula was “uncomfortable” with all the attention Kate’s attachment to the show was getting — particularly since it was taking the spotlight away from her.
Kate is reportedly still set to star in a new TLC reality show debuting this spring.
