In the short time since it has been announced, Google Wave has been called by some pundits a whole new take on collaboration and the next major platform for Web development. In its present, developer preview form, Google Wave is more modest in scope, and there is little here that hasnt been seen before in other Web 2.0 collaboration systems. Still, while the developer preview of Google Wave is raw, it definitely shows the platform’s potential, both as a system for group collaboration and as a way to extend Websites with collaboration and new applications.
