In “Chile Puhleeze!” News: A Washington, DC, lawyer and Princeton grad claiming to be LeBron James’ father is suing the Miami Heat’s newest superstar and his mom, Gloria, accusing The Jameses of tampering with a paternity test, according to court documents filed this week.
Leicester Bryce Stovell, 55, claims he met Gloria in a DC bar in 1984 and had an unprotected one night stand with her. He was 29 at the time, but later found out that Gloria was only 15. These days, Stovell boasts a law degree from the University of Chicago and is employed as a senior legal advisor for the US Securities and Exchange Commission. He argues that LeBron has cut him out of his life — and for that he’s entitled to some coins.
He reached out to LeBron’s lawyer in 2007 and arranged a paternity test. While the results came back negative, Stovell, a former lawyer for the Securities and Exchange Commission, claims the samples were tampered with.
Leicester is suing for $4 million in punitive damages, alleging fraud, defamation, and misrepresentation.
