Michael Lohan is opening up about his relationship with Jon Gosselin, and the reality star’s future with estranged wife Kate and his rumored romances with Hailey Glassman and Kate Major.

The two dads have reportedly been spending time together at Lohan’s home in the Hamptons.

“He’s not with either one right now. … He’s not concentrating on a relationship with any woman. He just wants to take a step back and deal with his family and his kids,” Lohan says Jon’s relationships with Major, a former tabloid reporter, and Glassman, a 22-year-old college dropout.

He tells PEOPLE of the Jon & Kate Plus 8’s relationship with Kate, “They had eight kids and he would like to work things out the right way and just be friends.”

“He’s fantastic and upbeat and said that he just wanted to concentrate on his kids and his career and his life. … It’s overwhelming for him but he’s handling it.”
