With friends like Michael Lohan, who needs haters.

Once upon a time, the father of actress Lindsay Lohan and ex-reality star Jon Gosselin were quickly on their way to beautiful Bromance — there was even talk of the two pairing up for a new reality show about divorced dads.

But oh how quickly the world turns!

On Wednesday, Lohan gave a lengthy deposition in the breach of contract suit TLC brought against the ex-Jon & Kate Plus 8 star. Michael thinks the network’s got a good shot at taking Gosselin to the cleaners. In a new interview with Access Hollywood, Michael spoke about his former friend after his testimony.

“I kept him out of harm’s way when there were paparazzi around… and he stabbed me in the back,” Michael told Access. “When you open your door to somebody and you give them a safe haven and a place to go and then they turn around and bite the hand that feeds or stab you in the back, that doesn’t sit well with me.”

According to Michael, he had reached a business agreement with Jon, which TLC claims may have violated their exclusivity pact with the serial dad.

“I think the attorneys from (TLC’s legal team) Williams & Connolly were very thorough,” Lohan revealed. “I think they did a great job. They asked the appropriate questions and they got the answers they wanted. I think they have a very, very strong case, one that I definitely don’t think they’ll lose. So good luck to Jon.”
