Microsoft has proved itself to be the world’s largest software maker and now it has made its cloud-based operating system officially available for the Indian users.
You can get the computer power on Windows Azure, a web-based operating system hosted in the Microsoft’s data centers for $0.12 on an hourly basis whereas the storage on Azure costs around $0.15 per GB per month.
The web edition of its database service SQL Azure comes for $10 per month for up to 1 GB and its business edition of its database service is tagged at about $100 per month for up to 10 GB of database on monthly basis.
“All of our popular products are already cloud-ready, and we have a clear future roadmap to provide anytime, anywhere access across diverse devices spanning computer, mobile and Internet.â€, said Rajan Anandan, managing director, Microsoft India.
Companies like Infosys, HCL Technologies, Persistent Software, Wings Info, Cerebrate and CDC Software are still designing commercial applications and solutions on Windows Azure platform.
