Microsoft’s Week Involved Cloud Strategy, EU Ballot Screen, Windows 7 Sales

Microsoft put heavy emphasis on the cloud this week, with CEO Steve Ballmer announcing during a March 4 discussion at the University of Washington that the company intended to use cloud functionality as the jumping-off point for its future products and services. In the meantime, Microsoft’s issues with the European Commission, the EU’s antitrust regulatory body that voiced concern over the bundling of Internet Explorer with Windows, may not be over yet. And Windows 7 reportedly continued to sell strongly.
