Michael Jackson’’s personal doctor Conrad Murray is set to face charges over the singer’s death on Monday.

Murray, facing charges of involuntary manslaughter, has been at the centre of the investigation probing the star’s death on June 25 last year.

The medic confessed he administered the powerful sedative propofol to Jackson hours before his death but maintained he gave nothing that would have caused a fatal outcome, reports the New York Times.

The Los Angeles County coroner ruled Jackson’s death as a homicide, concluding the King of Pop died from “acute propofol intoxication” combined with sedatives.

Sandi Gibbons, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office, said in a statement, “A case will be filed on Monday.”
