It is considered to be the first “modul phone” in the world. Moreover, it can be incorporated into a number of “Modu jackets” that enlarge functionality as well as alter the design of the phone.

It is a basic standalone phone. The handset is small in its size and has a rectangular body with square edges as well as a thin profile. According to the manufacturer, the Modu Phone is the world’s lightest handset that offers a tiny screen and only seven buttons. It resembles an MP3 player and is available with standard features. It boasts of an MP3 player and Bluetooth. The handset integrates 2GB of internal memory. Unfortunately, it lacks support for 3G.

There is no regular keyboard as the five-way navigational pad can be used by a user in order to choose keys on a keypad that are located on the screen. As for the screen, it measures 1.3 inches. If not use a jacket it provides an annoying green tint. The phone comes with a basic Modu user interface.

There are a lot of jackets that most of them are available with a simple design change, some of them provide additional functions such as photo frames and speakers. A jacket is able to change any aspect of the Modu Phone.

But you are able to get only three jackets that come with the phone in the package. You can also find the mini jacket, the night jacket as well as the speedy jacket.
