The nation celebrates its 61st Republic Day on Tuesday amid tight Security across the capital on the occasion.
CCTV cameras have been put in place on the parade route. A heavy security blanket has been thrown from Rajpath to Red Fort ahead of the Republic Day Parade.
Also a ground-to-air security apparatus has been put in place for the celebrations while over 15,000 security personnel including paramilitary forces are being deployed on the parade route to thwart any attempt to disrupt national celebrations.
Rajpath has been sealed completely. All the border areas of Delhi were sealed on Monday. Police personnel in plain clothes are being deployed in sensitive areas to keep a strict vigil on people’s movement.
Traffic police have banned the entry of vehicles on Vijay Chowk, Rajpath, India Gate, Tilak Marg, Tilak Bridge, Ramcharan Aggarwal Chowk, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg, Subhash Marg, and Red Fort during the parade.
