Reality is all relative: Brenda Harvey, mom of socialite and former reality star Nicole Richie, has been asked to join the cast of the latest incarnation of Bravo’s smash Real Housewives franchise, Star Magazine dished this week.

Harvey, the college sweetheart and first wife of R&B legend Lionel Richie, is expected to join former Baywatch actress and restaurateur Lisa Vanderpump and Hilton aunts, Kim and Kyle Richards, on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Nicole shot to fame appearing alongside Paris Hilton on the reality comedy The Simple Life.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, set in California’s toniest community, will begin shooting later this year.
