Have you met Amber Stassi? A video audition won the 33-year-old paramedic from Brewerton, NY a chance to duet with talent show sensation Susan Boyle on the Scot’s eagerly-awaited Christmas album, The Gift.

Boyle called Stassi at home in Upstate New York this week to break the news: “I really wanted to give someone the opportunity I had. Amber is a remarkable and talented lady and I am really looking forward to singing with her.”

The mother-of-three will head to London later this month to join Boyle in the recording studio.

“We have had some hard times, if my father was here now he would be so proud, I know he’s here in spirit, but this is a chance to give my kids a good memory and maybe a chance at a better life,” Stassi remarked after learning that her entry had been successful.

The search for Susan’s duet partner was one of YouTube’s most successful, getting one entry every six minutes after its launch last month.
