The Croatian parliament has accepted the resignation of Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and the decision will take effect with the appointment of his successor.

118 MPs voted in favor of Sanader’s resignation on Thursday night, two officials of the Croatian National Party abstained, while one independent candidate voted against the resignation, the Hina agency reports.
