Singer songwriter duo Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel showed up in person at a Central Park, New York tribute concert where they performed with celebrity fans.

The tribute concert on June 8 saw more than 30 artists showing up and performing.

Brendan Benson, Ben Gibbard, St. Vincent, Joan Osborne, Marc Cohn and Shawn Colvin played Simon & Garfunkel classics to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the park’s SummerStage programme.

But few people expected the duo behind the tribute to actually show up, reports the Daily Express.

Simon and Garfunkel appeared at the end of the tribute to perform their ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ anthem.
