Former American Idol judge Paula Abdul hadn’t spoken to pal Ryan Seacrest since abruptly departing the reality competition last August, but Pauls quicked reached out to Ryan after hearing a stalker armed with a knife burst into the E! Building in hot pursuit of the Hardest-Working Man in Hollywood, celebrity snitch Mike Walker writes in the Nov. 23 issue of The National Enquirer.

“Paula had faced the horror of stalker Paula Goodspeed — who once sent her a box of razor blade, then killed herself outside Paula’s home — so she phoned Ryan to share hard-earned safety tips,” an insider dished.
According to Mike’s snitch, Paula’s come up with four tips that celebrities can use to keep themselves safe from obsessed fans: “(1.) Take all threats seriously; (2.) Pay attention to everything and everyone….; (3.)Realize that restraining orders can’t stop a stalker; and (4.) Never assume a stalker has given up — that’s just when they’ll reappear.”
We’d like to suggest investing in a good can of pepper spray, but Paula is the expert on these things.
The source added: “Paula emphasized she wasn’t trying to scare Ryan –she just wanted to educate him about the dangers. It was a shocking call, but he thanked her for it.”
