President Pratibha Patil returns to New Delhi following her week long visit to UK and Cyprus; held bilateral talks on wide -ranging issues with the leaders of both countries.
India has age-old historic ties with both England and Cyprus. In such a scenario, President Pratibha Devisingh Patil’s visit to these two countries will further strengthen the bilateral relations of India with these countries.
India’s relations with England and Cyprus are likely to be solidified further in various sectors by the effort made by honourable president Pratibha Patil.
While returning from offshore, Patil conveyed to reporters her satisfaction and constructive hopes of harmonious and enhanced accord in the sectors like Information Technology, Health, Tourism, infrastructure facilities, economic services et al, with these countries.
It is expected that, India’s relations with both the countries will see a new beginning with expanding horizons.
During her visit, President extended an invitation to Queen Elizabeth of Britain to come to Delhi during the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
