On Dec. 7, Google made a big splash when it launched real-time search results. Google Fellow Amit Singhal said the company created dozens of new technologies, including new language models to discern whether or not the information was relevant, accurate and spam free. In indexing content from Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and other sites, the move is a sweeping answer to the real-time indexing of Twitter tweets from Microsoft’s Bing Twitter site.
