Roche Holding AG, the world’s biggest maker of cancer drugs, said it will make drugs to treat cancers and eye disorders at a new US$500 million ($699 million) facility in Tuas Medical Park.
The company will produce Avastin and Lucentis respectively at the two plants on the site, Franz Humer, chairman of the Basel, Switzerland-based company, said today. The facility will increase its employee count to 400 by the end of 2010, from 330 now, Humer said at the site opening ceremony in Singapore.
