Rupert Everett has advised Hollywood’s Homos to keep their sexual orientation shroud in secrecy in a dark corner of their closet if they hope to find work. Everett, who is gay, enjoyed a host of high-profile roles — including a starring one in Julia Robert’s 1997 romantic comedy My Best Friend’s Wedding as well as the voice of Prince Charming in the Shrek films. However, the actor now insists his success has been ruined since he came out in 1989. Rupert is indignant that he can’t find a job, even after touching up his once dashing good looks with a scary plastic surgery.
