Lindsay Lohan’s plans for a big showbuisness comeback could go up in smoke thanks to a breakdown in communication with pal Ryan Seacrest.

Last month, the trouble-prone actress confirmed that she is developing an Extreme Makeover-style reality series with television’s $45 Million Man.

After meeting twice to iron out a few details for the proposed show, Lindsay went gaga and started bombarding Ryan with numerous phone calls and texts at the most inconvenient moments, The National Enquirer’s Mike Walker claims.

“…She actually begged him to take a break from his L.A. morning radio show for a heart-to-heart chat.”

Lindsay has quickly become the most-needy person Ryan has ever worked with — much to the annoyance of the Idol host, who also produces E!’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians and Denise Richards: It’s Complicated.

An Enquirer source says: “Ryan’s the busiest man in showbusiness, and he should have known better than to enter Lindsay’s world. He’s now saying that compared to Lindsay, working with high-maintenance Kim Kardashian is a low-maintenance job.”
