Senoko to start work on Singapore plant in January, say reports

Senoko Power plans to start work in January on a deferred $750 million project to convert its Singapore oil-fired power plant to one that burns natural gas, the local press reported.

Senoko, which buys about 230 million standard cubic feet of Malaysian and Indonesian gas daily, will need another 60 million once the project is completed in mid-2010, the newspaper reported, citing Roy Adair, Senoko’s outgoing chief executive officer.
