10 Marketing Predictions For 2010:
What do you think will be the focus of marketing in 2010? got any predictions? David Siteman Garland, one of today’s great 2.0 marketers, offers his take in a new blog post that sheds some light on predictions based on interviews he’s conducted with other leading social marketing and business visionaries. It’s a pretty good take on what we can expect in 2010.
Here are a few of my favorites:
Online video will focus on function rather than viral. I like this because we should be developing videos that offer great content. Too often entrepreneurs try to hit a home run every time they launch a video. When they do this they forget the essence of why a video is great in the first place. Don’t put the cart before the horse, build great content with your video and the rest will take care of itself.
Reputation marketing is King. Customer service is like that pesky little neighborhood kid everyone has. No one wants to pay attention to him but he’s always there whether you like it or not. Same goes for customer service. And with user-generated reviews becoming more prevalent, customer service will finally rise to the top in 2010.
