Split Mayor Željko Kerum has issued a written apology for his recent statements about Serbs and Montenegrins on a program on Croatian state TV.

Kerum said that he would not let Serbs and Montenegrins enter the Croatian market as they had “never brought anything good” and that he would never allow a Serb to become a member of his family. In the letter, Kerum denied that he had deliberately insulted anyone on an ethnic basis.
