STI gains 1.2% to 2,613.94 as at 9:17 a.m.

The Straits Times index advanced 1.2% to 2,613.94 as of 9:17 a.m. All but six of the gauge’s 30 members rose. The following shares were among the most active in the market.

CapitaLand (CAPL SP): Southeast Asia’s largest developer, gained 1.9% to $3.74. OCBC Investment Research raised the stock to “buy” from “hold.” The upgrade came after the company said it plans to list its CapitaLand Retail subsidiary in Singapore to tap growth in Asia’s shopping mall industry.
