For a computer newbie, checking type of Windows on the computer can be bit of task. No worries, you can easily the name and type of Windows installed on the computer using simple procedure. Most common Windows operating system installed on PCs include: Windows 2000, XP, Vista, 7.

Check Windows type installed on PC

1. Click Start and then click on Run

2. Type of paste command winver in run box & click OK
