Data Breaches Hit 113 Health Care Organizations, Report Says

Of the 385 organizations hit with data breaches so far this year, 113 were in health care, according to the Identity Theft Resource Center’s report for July 28. Just 39 breaches have been reported in banking and finance according to the ITRC. Experts cite a lack of compliance and improper data access by insiders as culprits. – A total of 113 health care facilities have been hit with data breaches in

Genting Singapore price target cut to $1.13 by OSK but maintains ‘buy’

OSK cuts Genting Singapore (G13.SG) target price to $1.13 from $1.22 on back of earnings downgrades, maintaining its “buy” rating, reported Dow Jones Newswires.

The broker cuts FY10, FY11 earnings forecasts by 6%, 3% respectively, to factor in lower-than-expected number of tables and slots in operation at gaming company’s Resorts World at Sentosa (RWS) casino, lag in ramping up of capacity.

Stamford Land posts 113% rise in 3Q profit after tax to $16.8 million

Stamford Land Corporation, the owner and operator of luxury hotels and developer of top-tier residential and commercial properties, says profit after tax increased by 113% to $16.8 million for the third quarter 2009/10 due from $7.9 million a year ago due to the absence of unrealised losses in current investments and lower finance costs.

Revenue edged up 1.3% to $182.4 million from $180.2 million as its hotels in Auckland and Adelaide continued to perform strongly.
